Policies & Procedures

We appreciate you taking the time to read through our policies. They help us maintain a high quality program.

1. Rolling Enrollment:

This is an on-going program, so your child is automatically re-enrolled in the next month. We charge the following month's tuition on the 23rd of the month. We ask that you keep a current email address on file.  If you are not receiving email updates and you would like to receive them, please update your email address with us.

To discontinue classes, please submit a DROP REQUEST by the 15th of the month through our parent portal, or by emailing us at info@tidewatergymnasticsacademy.com

This gives us plenty of time to change the billing in our system and staff our classes appropriately.

We cannot accept verbal out notices.  Thank you for your help and understanding with this.

2. Missed Classes:

Your tuition pays for a class spot, regardless of attendance. As a courtesy, TGA offers one make-up class per month when we have space in the appropriate class and when doing so does not jeopardize the safety or integrity of the class. Please submit requests for make-up classes HERE or schedule one with the front desk. We usually cannot accomodate walk-ups.  We allow 30 days following a missed class to make-up the class.  We do not offer make-ups for a missed make-up class.

If a student drops our program, make-up classes are forfeited. Some holiday closing will result in a make-up class, while others will not. You can refer to the closing page on our website.

It is not required that you notify us of an absence in advance, but we do appreciate it.

3. Gymnastics Attire:

Although we highly recommend leotards for the girls in our program, gymnasts new to the sport, boys, and our youngest students (Pre-School and Parent and Me Classes) can wear athletic clothing. Athletic gear includes shorts or warm-up pants and a fitted t-shirt. Tights and/or socks should NOT be worn. Also, whenever possible, please tie back long hair and leave all jewelry at home.

4. Parking Lot & Lobby:

During peak times, the parking lot is crowded. Please take into consideration that our students may include young children. Drive slowly and carefully both in and around the parking lot. Do not take a chance on your student running to and from your car.

Please be mindful of other customers waiting in the lobby. We cannot allow gymnastics, running, or rough-housing in our lobby. We do have books for siblings to read while waiting, but please put them away after using them. Children should not be left alone in the lobby. If you are running late, please call us 757-493-3600.
