Policies and Procedures

Updated for Fall of 2008

Thank you for joining our program!  We look forward to working with you and your child. Please take some time to read through our policies and procedures.  If you have any questions or concerns, do not hesitate to contact us~

1. Payment Options:                                                                                                                                                                  A.  Monthly (auto-pay) –

This is an on-going program, so your child is automatically re-enrolled in the next month.  If you choose this payment option, we will bill your account between the first and the fifth of each month.  Whenever you need to make a change (changing classes, times per week, or discontinuing the program) to your billing, it is your responsibility to let us know before the 20^th of the current month.  This way we have plenty of time to change your bill in our system.  We have “Change Class Forms” that you can fill out and turn in to the front office.  We MUST receive this notice in the front office and in writing!    Please understand we do NOT offer any refunds.   

             B.  Semester (three months)-  

For this payment option your child will NOT automatically be re-enrolled in the following semester.  The entire semester is paid for in advance.  We do NOT offer refunds. 

 ***There will be a $30.00 charge for all returned checks and payments.

*** We cannot refund tuition payments or annual registration fees.

         2.  Missed Classes: 

If you know your child will be absent from class in advance, please let us know. 

If your child misses a class, we allow ONE make-up class per month.  We allow thirty days to make-up missed classes, and we ask that you call 24 hours in advance to schedule make-up classes.  If you schedule a make-up class and do not show up for the class, it will still count as your one make-up class.    

Our prices are based on four classes per month.  If a holiday closing leaves a class with fewer than four classes, we will allow for make-up classes.  However, if the class still meets four times, we will NOT offer make-up classes.   Please understand that these policies assist us in maintaining proper staffing and a high quality program. 

         3.  Gymnastics Attire:   

Although we highly recommend leotards for the girls in our program, gymnasts new to the sport, boys, and our youngest girls (3-6 year old classes) can wear athletic clothing.  Athletic gear includes shorts or warm-up pants and a fitted t-shirt.  Tights and/or socks should NOT be worn.  Also, whenever possible, please tie back long hair.    

Birthday Party

 Policies and Procedures

• TIME:  Birthday Parties are one hour and a half in length.  It is important to adhere to the allotted time, because we have back to back birthday parties.  We ask that the party hostess come to TGA only fifteen minutes prior to the start of the birthday party.  We have instructors here to help you set things up and to assist with anything you may need.

• BREAKDOWN OF TIME:         One hour of gym time:  The instructors will make use of moon walks, trampolines, tumble track, and other equipment.  Basic gymnastics skills are taught.  The name of the game is FUN!  The party will then move to the lobby, where food, cake, and drinks may be served.  You can use this time to unwrap gifts as well.    

• PART OF THE PARTY PACKAGE:        Entire gym space use during your party, balloon for each child, balloon bouquet for the birthday child, TGA t-shirt for the birthday child, and TGA birthday invitations.  We also have a cake knife, matches, and tablecloths, so you do NOT need to bring these items.

• DEPOSIT:         In order to hold a spot for your child, we require a $100.00 deposit.

•  CONFIRM NUMBER OF CHILDREN:               In order to staff the birthday party appropriately, we require a FIRM number of children for the event five days in advance.  Your total cost will reflect this confirmed number.

• SHARED BIRTHDAY PARTY FEE:         We do allow for children to share the birthday party; however, there is a $25.00 fee for each additional birthday child.  This does not add to the number of children who can attend the birthday party.  Siblings may share a birthday party for an additional $15.00.

• RELEASE WAIVER:      Please ask all birthday party participants to print out and sign a copy of our release form.  This form can be found on our web-site www.tidewatergymnasticsacademy.com, or parent’s can sign the form at the gym on the day of the birthday party.  Children that are current members will have a form on file.  We do not need a second copy.
